Torga

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 August 2026 (version 2026-08-02)

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Torga, an AI workstation for email, tasks, and calendar, whether you run it locally on your own machine or use the hosted version at torga.co.uk ("Torga," "we," "us"). By creating an account, connecting an email account, or otherwise using Torga, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Torga.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When a change is material, you'll be asked to explicitly re-agree the next time you sign in before you can keep using the hosted version — continuing to use Torga after that point means you accept the current Terms.

2. What Torga is

Torga connects to an email account (Gmail via OAuth, a standard IMAP/SMTP account, or a Torga-hosted @torga.co.uk mailbox) and, optionally, a calendar, and uses an AI model to classify incoming email, draft replies, build a prioritized task list, and group related threads into initiatives. Which AI model processes your data depends on what you configure: Anthropic's API, an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or a fully local/private model. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what's accessed and where it goes.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the hosted version. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away (see Contact, below) if you think your account's been compromised.

One login can hold several workspaces ("profiles"). Chat, where enabled, additionally links your account to an Organization based on your verified email domain — see the in-app Settings page for how that works.

4. AI-generated content isn't guaranteed accurate

Email classification, urgency scoring, task creation, drafted replies, and summaries are all produced by an AI model and can be wrong, incomplete, or miss context a human would catch. Torga never sends an email on your behalf without you explicitly reviewing and clicking Send — you're responsible for what you actually send, same as if you'd written it yourself. Don't rely on Torga as your only record of a time-sensitive or safety-critical matter.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Torga for anything illegal, or to send spam, malware, or abusive content.
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to another user's account, workspace, or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt Torga's infrastructure, or attempt to reverse-engineer parts of the service intended to stay private.
  • Use Chat (where available) to harass, impersonate, or send unsolicited content to colleagues in your Organization.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of your email, task, and calendar content. Using Torga requires granting us a license to process that content solely to provide the service to you — classify it, draft responses, generate summaries, and display it back to you — and, where you've configured it, to send it to your chosen AI provider for that purpose. We don't use your content to train any model, and don't sell it or share it beyond what the Privacy Policy describes.

7. Third-party services

Torga's hosted email/calendar sync depends on Google's APIs; drafting and classification depend on whichever AI provider you've configured; hosted @torga.co.uk mailboxes depend on our own mail server. Availability, changes, or outages in any of these are outside our control, and your use of them is also subject to that provider's own terms (Google's, Anthropic's, or your chosen OpenAI-compatible provider's).

8. Paid features

Some features (currently, Chat between colleagues in the same Organization) may be offered only on a paid plan. Where that applies, we'll tell you what's included and what it costs before you're charged. We may introduce pricing for currently-free features in the future, with reasonable advance notice.

9. Disclaimers

Torga is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate — see Section 4.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Torga and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service — including from an inaccurate AI classification, a missed task, or a drafted reply you chose to send. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't legally be limited (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

11. Termination

You can stop using Torga and delete your account at any time by contacting us (see below). We may suspend or terminate an account that violates Section 5 (Acceptable use), or discontinue the hosted service, with notice where reasonably possible. Deleting your account removes access; see the Privacy Policy for how long underlying data is retained.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This section is a placeholder pending confirmation of the entity operating Torga and its registered jurisdiction.
